My daily work routine over the past decade has become an increasingly global and collaborative undertaking. As a member of a few of the the Badge Alliance working groups it is gratifying to see such a huge set of outcomes from such a dedicated collaborative.
The Badge Alliance is a very dynamic and productive transdisciplinary cooperative.

Just noticed Sheryl Grant’s 2012 post in which she mentioned Gartner’s notion of a “slope of enlightenment” (overcoming a “peak of inflated expectations”).

Sounds like we might be closer to the “plateau of productivity” in that Gartner model.
Surely, those who have been working on badges for a while might be disillusioned, tired, or jaded. But those of us who are just getting in can perceive a right fit with emerging trends in learning.
