I’ve recently been playing with an EmoterHUD – a device that allows me to animate the facial expressions of my avatar in Second Life – I believe this offers some very interesting possibilities for expression in role-playing scenarios as well as in regular SL interactions – the interface is still quite clunky to develop much fluency – but there might be an interesting way to use dialogue triggered events to activate the various expressions.
